The Lachlan Valley Railway operates from the heritage Cowra locomotive depot and roundhouse on the Harden to Blayney cross-country line. The group operates charter tours with CPH rail motors and 47 class diesel locomotives.

The group has a newly restored 32 class steam locomotive which was first placed in service in 1892 and a 53 class steam locomotive ready to recommence running following major restoration.
