The Illawarra Light Railway Museum Society was established in 1972.
It operates a museum and operates trains on a 2ft gauge line within a
park at Albion Park.
The group has 4 operational steam locomotives of which 2 were from
the Illawarra area. Another locomotive, also from the Illawarra area,
is under restoration.
The group also owns 2 standard gauge steam locomotives – one on site and one at Bulli.
The museum includes the restored signal box from Otford. Entry to
the museum is free. Inside the museum grounds there is a large car park
along with free wood-fired barbeques and toilet facilities.
